The “Be Active, Be a Citizen” (BeAC) aims to develop training resources to help young people, aged from 15 to 24, living in disadvantaged neighbourhoods to acquire and put in practice critical thinking skills. Indeed, according to the Council of Europe, this target group face discrimination, prejudice and isolation that make it harder for them to be active citizens.
The project focuses on two innovative approaches:
The first one is philosophy for community (P4C), and the second one is Artful Thinking (AT).Both are creative practices using a range of interactive activities using art and creative methods..
We will develop Be Active, be a Citizen: workshop programmes and activities for trainers, educators, youth workers and young people and to develop / strengthen their critical thinking skills in relation to environmental citizenship, democratic citizenship at the EU level and social citizenship along with e-learning tools and guidelines.
There will be The BeAC photo challenge – an outreach activity to promote active-citizenship. Which will result in a digital exhibition.
This is a two year Erasmus Plus project, with 8 European partners
